ABOUT US
Wildflour Desserts was dreamed up by three friends in the Fall of 2020. An extension of their passions for pastry, design, and community, Wildflour Desserts is dedicated towards sharing one-of-a-kind desserts with their community. Read more about the creatives behind the desserts:
Kira Sun is the co-founder and director of recipe development. A junior at Monta Vista High School, she enjoys experimenting with new flavor and texture combinations, even when they're not so successful. She is best known in the kitchen for dropping cakes on the floor and overestimating ingredients. Nonetheless, she's the brains behind Wildflour's test kitchen. When she's not making a mess, she can be found practicing with her color guard team or sitting in a quiet spot, nose-deep in her library book.
Alysa Phattanaphibul is the co-founder and director of tech. She is a senior at Monta Vista High School, and a part of the tennis, wrestling, and diving team. She is an avid chocolate hater and rarely ever follows recipes. Despite this, she proudly oversees the logistical and online aspects of Wildflour and is also involved in dessert testing and baking. Her favorite parts of Wildflour are learning how to handle chocolate, coming up with menu concepts, and helping Charlotte improve her baking skills. Her guilty pleasures include drinking too much Diet Coke, staying up until 3 am, and watching true crime even when it's dark.
Charlotte Lau is the co-founder and director of marketing. She’s a senior at Cupertino High School and a part of yearbook and ASB. She’s enthusiastic about the most random tasks that come with running Wildflour— from cutting cardboard cake boards to questionably icing cakes. She enjoys playing badminton, going on food adventures despite not being able to drive, and making Wildflour promo look amazing. In her free time, she relaxes by watching kdramas until her eyes blur while actively chomping on snacks. Her biggest baking failures to date include burning chocolate in the microwave and scrambling eggs when making custard.
